On a separate route, Stormcloud was mated to Sh Ch Dalati Sioni and produced Northey Sabrina who can be seen at eight weeks. Unfortunately, her hips were not good and she was given to a pet home at five months of age. In 1986, the year Stormcloud was Top Welsh Springer Spaniel in the UK, I bought in a bitch from Gill Tully's first litter, called Highclare Temptress of Northey, and she was put to Whittington to produce Northey Magic Spell, a beautiful, gentle bitch who had a hip score of 57, far too high to consider breeding from her, so she too went to a pet home and I was left with a broken heart, but with her brother Northey Wizard to mend it. Magic is shown at five weeks and 10 weeks. Another favourite of mine was Northey Scarlet Lady from the mating of Sh Ch Northey Wish Me Luck to my Highclare bitch. She was selected to go to Ann Corbett to join her kennel of English Springers and become a brood bitch for her. Unfortunately, Scarlet had other ideas and failed to produce.
